Atkinson climbs to finish 21st in Rally Sweden

Australian Subaru rally driver Chris Atkinson, has moved up a further five positions on the final day of Rally Sweden to finish the event in 21st position.
Hopes of a top five result to build on his third at the season opener in Monte Carlo disappeared early in the rally when the Queenslander got stuck in snow on just the third stage and dropped 15 minutes.

Subaru has made a stunning start to 2008 sales, retailing 4059 vehicles, a massive 31.1 per cent ahead of the previous January, according to official VFACTS figures.
The result gave Subaru a market share of 4.9 per cent, against 4.0 per cent last January. The total is a January record for Subaru.

Subaru’s new generation Impreza WRX has rated four stars in a road test published in today’s Drive Life section of the Sydney Morning Herald.
Under the headline “Wild child is ageing gracefully”, Bill McKinnon, one of Australia’s most experienced road testers, writes: “You can feel the Subaru’s innate strength.”
